The specialist points out that there are five main reasons that lead to poor vision, which are:
- Heredity: This reason is not related to our behavior and actions, but is passed down to us from our parents and grandparents.
- Lifestyle: We must know that a sedentary lifestyle negatively affects visual acuity, as it causes many diseases. A sedentary lifestyle is currently a widespread epidemic that includes everyone, adults and children alike, so everyone must move and spend enough time outdoors.
- Nutrition: Nutrition should be varied, because when the body lacks nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, it leads to poor functioning of some eye structures. That is, the diet should contain nuts, fish, carrots, spinach, broccoli, apricots, onions, garlic and parsley.
- Digital pollution: This is currently a real problem. What is meant here is the large number of electronic devices that many people use for long hours without interruption, which negatively affects the development of various diseases. Therefore, digital hygiene is very important. This is a really big problem because many people use them even when they are in the street, park or on public transportation, and thus negatively affects visual acuity.
- Neglecting personal hygiene: In order to maintain eye health and visual acuity, we must follow the rules of personal hygiene, as it is not recommended to rub or touch the eyes, and women should remove cosmetics with special products. Otherwise, infection occurs and the glands will not be able to function normally, which stimulates negative processes that can lead to poor vision, fatigue and the development of various diseases.
