Egyptian engineer Mahmoud Farag, an IT expert, revealed the truth behind the removal of the famous Google search engine “Prayer Times” from the main search services page, stressing that it is just a modification and not a final decision to remove it.
Engineer Faraj explained that the problem of not showing “prayer times” has nothing to do with Google algorithms.
He pointed out that Google displays things from its primary source, and if there is a change or modification in the source, it will be reflected in changing what appears on the Google home page.
Engineer Farag said: “Since we are in Egypt, Google’s source for prayer times is the Egyptian General Survey Authority, and since it is an official and reliable source, it appeared first.”
He added: It is clear that there are changes or updates to the site itself.
He continued: What happened has nothing to do with Google's algorithms or the search engine itself, but the modification occurred in the primary source that displays "prayer times."
The IT expert confirmed that during the coming period, the amendments will be activated in coordination between the responsible authority and Google, and will begin to appear again.
