Dell lays off a large number of its employees!

Dell Technologies has announced that it will lay off approximately 12,500 employees across its various divisions.

According to available information, Dell's president of global sales and customer engagement, Bill Scannell, and the company's global chief executive of channels and distribution, John Byrne, sent letters to employees in which they indicated that the company is trying to accelerate growth in the market by focusing on developing "modern IT systems and artificial intelligence," and therefore the company is likely to lay off 10% of its workforce.

According to available information, the company plans to reduce the number of employees to less than 100,000.

Dell's announcement comes days after Intel announced plans to lay off about 15,000 employees as well, after its shares fell by about 26% due to problems it faced with Raptor Lake processors.

It is worth noting that Dell also reduced the number of its employees last year, and laid off about 13 thousand employees.
