WhatsApp on Android gets an important feature

WhatsApp has started testing an additional feature in its Android app.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature that can be used to convert voice messages into written text appeared in the beta version "2.24.15.5" of the WhatsApp application, which is intended for Android devices.

The site indicated that the feature is currently available to a limited number of users to test it, and it is expected to be officially launched in the full versions of the application that will appear in the foreseeable future.

This feature was originally developed for WhatsApp for iOS devices and was rolled out to iOS users in May last year.

The feature currently supports voice-to-text conversion in several languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Hindi, and is expected to support additional languages in the future.

WABetaInfo also indicated that WhatsApp may get a new feature called "People Nearby", through which users will be able to send data without the need for the Internet, and it will depend on Bluetooth networks to work.
