Visiting Shenzhen, Muhammadiyah delegation praises China's innovation achievements

Shenzhen - A Muhammadiyah delegation recently paid a courtesy call to several high-tech companies in Shenzhen, China, such as Hytera and BYD and also visited the Exhibition Hall of Reform and Open Up , deepening their understanding of Shenzhen's technological innovation while learning from its experience in carrying out reform and opening up.

"This is my first time driving an electric car like this, and I am very impressed with the technological sophistication of Shenzhen and Chinese companies (as a whole)," said Syamsul Anwar, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, a non-governmental Islamic religious organization in Indonesia, during his visit to the BYD Company headquarters in Shenzhen.

He watched the company's flagship model, the Yuanwang U8, demonstrate automatic parking, a U-turn system, and acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers/hour in 3.6 seconds, and praised China's electric vehicles.

BYD officially entered the Indonesian market for new energy passenger vehicles in January this year, and recently held a delivery ceremony for the first batch of 1,000 new energy vehicles ( NEVs ).

The delegation visited BYD to learn about the company's development process and technological innovations, and had the opportunity to test drive the Yuanwang U8.

Syamsul Anwar said that China has now become a strong country with high-tech capabilities and investment capacity. China and Indonesia can strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in the above-mentioned areas to achieve common development and prosperity.

During their visit to Hytera, the delegation took a detailed look at the company's products and technologies.

They stopped to observe various exhibits, such as upgraded base stations, in -vehicle terminals , and law enforcement recording devices, and asked about the related parameters and application scenarios of these products.

Hytera established a subsidiary in Indonesia in 2018, providing support to partners and customers in various industries such as public safety, oil and gas, mining, civil aviation, rail transportation, and trade. The company is also the main partner for security communication services in the Group of Twenty

(G20) Indonesia Summit 2022. The visit to Shenzhen was the second stop on the Muhammadiyah delegation's visit to China. The rapid development of this innovative city through reform and openness has left a deep impression on the delegates. Deputy Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Southeast Sulawesi Regional Leadership, Sainuddin Nuddin Pempeng, said he was amazed by Shenzhen's economic achievements in just 40 years, and believes that Indonesia should learn from Shenzhen. Meanwhile, Erwin Prasetyo, Chancellor of Muhammadiyah University of Maumere in East Nusa Tenggara Province, said the visit to Shenzhen had changed his perception of China. He realized that China is indeed an open country, and Shenzhen's achievements in the past 40 years of reform and openness are proof of this.
