UAE President meets Grand Imam of Al-Azhar

Today, Friday, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, enhancing cooperation between the concerned parties to consolidate common human values.

UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, at Al-Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation between the relevant authorities in the UAE and Al-Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders to consolidate common human values ​​and establish coexistence and civilized dialogue between cultures and peoples.

During the meeting, Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, wishing him good health and a successful visit to his second country, the UAE.

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif concluded his tour of Southeast Asia today. During the past few days, he was keen to meet a large number of young people, listen to them, discuss with them, and answer their questions about various contemporary issues, through a number of public meetings that he holds with university youth, in addition to holding several official meetings with senior Muslims during his tour that includes Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
