The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced today, Saturday, that it had taken control of an Israeli reconnaissance plane that was carrying out intelligence missions east of Khan Yunis.
"Saraya Al-Quds" said in a statement on its Telegram channel: "We seized a Zionist drone of the "Evo Max" type while it was carrying out intelligence missions in the skies of eastern Khan Yunis."
Al-Saraya also announced that its fighters were able to "bombard enemy soldiers and vehicles that had penetrated the vicinity of Al-Alam roundabout east of Khan Yunis with a barrage of mortar shells."
The Israeli army intensified its land, air and sea attacks on various areas in the Gaza Strip, and the raids were concentrated on the Nuseirat camp and Khan Yunis, amid the destruction of homes and the demolition of residential areas.
Palestinian reports indicated that Israeli aircraft bombed the Khadija School, which shelters thousands of displaced people west of Deir al-Balah, killing at least 30 Palestinians, including children and women, in addition to injuring dozens seriously.
Israeli aircraft launched a violent air strike targeting the town of Al-Qarara. The raids also targeted a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, and Israeli artillery shelled the east of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing dozens and wounding hundreds.
This comes at a time when the Israeli army announced the recovery of the bodies of 5 detainees, including a soldier, from the Gaza Strip. It also announced the death of a soldier and the injury of two others in critical condition, and suspicions are circulating that they inhaled toxic gas emitted from an electric motor while they were sleeping in a building in the southern Gaza Strip.
