Palestinian Ambassador to the United Nations Riyad Mansour stressed that "one catastrophe is more than enough, and we do not want tragedies to be repeated against our people."
In his speech during a symposium entitled: “Jerusalem and the Gaza War: Palestinian identity and existence are threatened by erasure,” which was held by the countries concerned with the Palestinian people’s exercise of their inalienable rights and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Mansour said: “In New York, we were able to unite Our Arab position is based on three important goals for the Palestinian people.”
Mansour explained that "the first goal is to immediately stop the aggression in the Gaza Strip, and against our people in all the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the Strip, which is being subjected to a war of extermination. Second, to bring in aid in a size that responds to the needs of our people in every corner."
He added: "The third goal is to stop the war crime and the crime against humanity in the forced displacement of our people, in a tragic move that scattered our people after their homes, houses and hospitals were destroyed and they were deprived of all the possibilities and necessities of life, so that we are not exposed to a second catastrophe... one catastrophe is more than enough and we do not want such tragedies to be repeated with our people."
It emphasizes the urgent need for international action.
