NASA President: The Americans will land on the moon before the Chinese

NASA chief Bill Nelson announced that space programs are proceeding according to schedule and that American astronauts will land on the moon before the Chinese.

“I think we’re on schedule,” he said in an interview with The Washington Post. “The evidence that we can land on the moon before China is that SpaceX has successfully completed the latest Starship flight,” the fourth test of which achieved its first successful landing in the Indian Ocean on June 6. Despite the competition, the United States and China will have to find ways to coexist on the moon.”

Nelson criticized what was published about Washington's alleged intention to deploy nuclear weapons in space.

“All nations should be concerned that Russia might intend to deploy nuclear weapons in orbit because such a possibility could pose a threat to all satellites operated by nations and companies around the world, as well as the vital communications, scientific, meteorological, agricultural, commercial, and national security services on which we all depend,” he says.

According to him, China should be interested in ensuring that Russia does not deploy nuclear weapons in space.

It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Moscow "always and categorically opposes the deployment of nuclear weapons in space."
