Militants shoot down military plane in northwest Pakistan

The Russian Sputnik Agency reported that militants shot down a Pakistani military plane on Monday in the city of Bannu, northwest of the country.

The agency pointed out that fierce fighting is taking place in this area, inside a Pakistani army camp, which led to the killing of about 17 soldiers, and the injury of more than 50 others as a result of several explosions, and Pakistani special forces are present at the scene of the incident.

Social media circulated video clips showing columns of smoke rising as a result of the plane crash.
