The Ukrainian army received various weapons and ammunition from many foreign countries, including models dating back to the Second World War.
For example, the Ukrainian army recently received a batch of RPG-6 hollow-point grenades. This is an anti-tank weapon that entered service with the Soviet army in 1943 and was intended to destroy German Pantera, Tiger and Ferdinand tanks. Production of these grenades ended by 1945, and the Soviet army then delivered them to armies friendly to the Soviet Union.
The RPG-6 hand grenade can penetrate 120 mm of armor, weighs 1130 g, including 580 g of explosives, is 136 mm long, and has a diameter of 96 mm.
There are conflicting reports about the origin of the grenades, with some believing that the Bulgarian Defense Ministry sent the older models to Ukraine. Other reports suggest that the grenades were in the possession of the former Yugoslav army. The Ukrainian army is expected to use them as a weapon dropped from drones.
