The Military Intelligence Directorate of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, the arrest of 9 terrorists in four governorates.
The directorate said in a statement obtained by RT, "In separate operations based on accurate intelligence information from the intelligence divisions of the 7th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th divisions, and in cooperation with the ground forces present in the areas of responsibility, and through tight ambushes and raids on terrorist locations, nine terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judiciary were arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law."
She added that "the operations took place in various areas of the provinces of Baghdad, Anbar, Kirkuk, and Nineveh, and those who were working and belonging to ISIS gangs in various ranks."
She confirmed that the detainees were handed over to the requesting authorities in the field and in accordance with the law.
