The Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency issued a book today, Monday, entitled “Our Cause is Palestine,” in which it documented the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip and Turkey’s efforts to put an end to the injustice of the Israeli occupation there.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who wrote the book's introduction, said, "Palestine has witnessed the greatest tragedies over the years, and has lived through indescribable tears and pain," while pointing out Turkey's diplomatic efforts to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, and the humanitarian aid it provides to the Palestinian people.
The book was published in Turkish, English and Arabic, and consists of seven chapters; the first deals with the historical background of the Palestinian issue, the second with the genocide that Israel began on October 7, and the third with the civilians who lost their lives as a result of Israel’s attacks.
The fourth chapter addressed the statements of Palestinian and Israeli officials throughout the months of genocide. The fifth chapter addressed the position of the international community on the Palestinian issue. The sixth chapter touched on how the local and international media covered the Israeli barbarism. Finally, the last chapter addressed Turkey’s efforts to support the Palestinian issue and President Erdogan’s initiatives to achieve peace.
Regarding the book, the head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, stressed Ankara's permanent position "on the side of the oppressed, and conveying the voice of truth and justice in the just cause of Palestine in all forums," adding that the book "(Our Cause is Palestine)", which we prepared in three languages, documents this truth and Turkey's efforts.
Israel has continued its devastating war on Gaza since October 7, despite two UN Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate halt, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, take measures to prevent acts of "genocide", and improve the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.
