Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that peace in Ukraine will be the main issue during his country's presidency of the European Union in the next six months.
This came during a press conference following his meeting in Kiev with outgoing Ukrainian President Zelensky, who posted a video of the conference on his X social media page, where Orban said: "I think the Ukraine issue is the most important issue for Europe in the next six months of Hungary's presidency. The issue of war and peace between Russia and Ukraine."
Orban also added that he "would like to use the meeting to discuss the situation with the Hungarian minority living in Ukraine and how to help them."
The Hungarian prime minister was on his first visit to Kiev in 12 years, as Hungary takes over the six-month presidency of the European Union from July 1. Orban's press secretary said he would discuss peacemaking and current issues of bilateral relations with Zelensky in Kiev.
Major situation!
