Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, said that Israel cannot commit a foolish act because it knows full well that it will pay a heavy price.
The Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah added: "Netanyahu should know very well that if he prolongs the battle, there will be more depletion of the entity than of the resistance and the Palestinians."
He stated that the Palestinians will stand firm until the end because they have no choice but to stand firm, and they have proven that they fight, confront, sacrifice and endure for the sake of their dignity and their land.
Naim Qassem confirmed that the Lebanese front achieved great deterrence during 9 months and was able to confine the battle to a narrow framework instead of a major battle.
He stated that the Lebanese front inflicted significant losses on Israel, whether through the displacement of about 100,000 or losses in soldiers, equipment and the economy.
The Deputy Secretary-General stated, "Today, all eyes are on Gaza... Will a ceasefire agreement happen or not? All the parties concerned have agreed to a ceasefire, except Netanyahu, and there is a lot of pressure on him to agree, and so far he has not given the final word and is trying to procrastinate."
He continued, saying: "If we want to assess whether we are going to a ceasefire or not, we say that things are not clear yet, and the greatest responsibility now lies with the American administration, as it is the one that can force Netanyahu to remain so extremist and criminal at this stage in order to conclude an agreement."
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah had stressed that "the ceasefire in the north is linked to the ceasefire in Gaza."
He said that they are waiting for the outcome of the negotiations to cease fire in Gaza, and whatever Hamas accepts, we will all accept.
Nasrallah stressed that they "will not tolerate any aggression against Lebanon that the enemy might carry out if a ceasefire is reached in Gaza, even if it is unlikely. We must remain cautious and build on the worst possibilities, and we are constantly preparing and getting ready, and we are not satisfied with our current readiness."
