"He hacked the Pentagon website" The Court of Cassation upholds the dismissal of the criminal case against the most dangerous Kuwaiti "hacker"

The Court of Cassation upheld the ruling to dismiss the criminal case against the most dangerous Kuwaiti hacker, and ruled to dismiss the case because the accused cannot be tried for charges he committed 10 years ago.

According to Al-Qabas newspaper, the “most dangerous Kuwaiti hacker,” who is 28 years old, was accused of hacking into 200 secret American government websites, including the Department of Defense, and displaying secret information to others. He is also accused of embezzling money.

In September 2023, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai reported that the hacker who targeted the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance (in the same month) displayed the data he had successfully obtained after hacking into one of the ministry’s sales systems.

The newspaper reported   that the hacker had set the ransom amount at 15 Bitcoins (about $400,000 at the time), and gave the ministry 7 days to retrieve the data in exchange for paying the ransom, or he would sell the data to whoever pays.
