Local sources reported that Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics retrieved the bodies of three martyrs from the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Gaza Strip today, Sunday, with their hands tied. They were executed immediately after their release.
The sources told Palestinian media that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately killed and injured a number of Palestinian detainees on Saturday, hours after their release east of Rafah city, and that they fired an artillery shell at a group of released prisoners, who were workers securing aid trucks, and who had been arrested days ago while they were in the Gaza airport area east of Rafah while waiting for the trucks to arrive.
One of the detainees who survived the attack reported that the occupation army threw a shell at them as soon as they reached the paved road in Rafah, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of about 7 people and the escape of the rest of the workers from the place.
He added: "Hours before the attack, the Israeli occupation army released about 15 Palestinians, who were workers securing aid trucks. We had been arrested four days earlier while we were in the Gaza airport area east of Rafah, waiting for the trucks to arrive."
Regarding their conditions inside the prison, he said, “The army forces began to torture them physically and humiliate them by throwing them on the ground, walking on their bodies, and urinating on them.”
On more than one occasion, the occupation army targeted the parties working to secure the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip by direct bombing or gunfire. On June 20, the occupation army bombed a gathering of merchants and protection committees working to secure aid while they were on Salah al-Din Street, east of Rafah, which led to the martyrdom and injury of a number of them.
The worst thing that can happen.
