Hacking the Moroccan League website and making changes to Wydad Casablanca’s titles

The Moroccan Professional Football League announced that its website was hacked by unknown individuals, who modified the list of Wydad Casablanca's titles.

365scores reported that hackers of the Moroccan League's official website made modifications to a group of data, most notably the number of titles won by the Wydad Casablanca team and the removal of a star from the team's logo on the website.

Abdel Salam Belqchour, General President of the Moroccan Professional Football League, wrote a statement on his official Facebook account, which read:

We inform the national sports public opinion that the official website of the National Professional Football League was hacked today, as the perpetrator deliberately modified some of the information available on the website, most notably the number of titles of the Wydad Athletic Club.

In this context, the Moroccan Professional Football League announces that it will take the following steps: First, temporarily blocking its official website until this electronic loophole is corrected.

Secondly, a strict investigation should be opened to determine the party behind this illegal and legally criminal act. The Professional League also reserves the right to resort to the available legal authorities in order to deter such behaviour.

Finally, while we condemn this behavior that seeks to undermine the credibility of our institution, we emphasize that the club titles published on the official website of the Professional Football League are the same as those recognized by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the International Federation of Association Football.
