Gabon says it has paid its arrears to the World Bank

In Gabon, the dispute between the World Bank and the government appears to have been resolved.

According to the press release from the Ministry of Public Accounts published on Wednesday, the country paid its arrears of more than 17 million dollars to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD9) on July 2.

A payment that comes after a note from the World Bank Vice President for West and Central Africa, Ousmane Diangana, announcing the suspension of disbursements in favor of Gabon due to accumulation of arrears was leaked on social networks.
