The finals of the 17th edition of the European Football Championship 2024, currently being held in Germany, witnessed the scoring of the two fastest goals in the history of the Old Continent's tournament.
Albania's Nadim Baerami scored the fastest goal ever in the history of the European Football Championship finals, when he shook Italy's net just 23 seconds after the whistle blew to start the two teams' first match in "Euro 2024".
Bayrami broke the record for the fastest goal, set by former Russian player Dmitry Kirichenko, who scored it against Greece, one minute and seven seconds after the start of the match between them in Euro 2004.
Turkey defender Merih Demiral scored the second-fastest goal in the tournament and the fastest in the knockout stages, scoring his country's first goal against Austria (2-1) after 57 seconds of the match between them in the round of 16 of Euro 2024.
Belgian Youri Tielemans also scored the third-fastest goal in Euro 2024 and the fourth-fastest goal in the history of the continental tournament finals, against Romania during the group stage, after one minute and 13 seconds.
