Cocoa butter, which is an ingredient in chocolate, is a natural antioxidant that the human body needs to maintain health.
Professor Larisa Resheva from the Russian University of Biotechnology points out that the task of antioxidants is to fight oxidation processes to strengthen the human immune system and they are fully present in this product.
“The unique property of cocoa butter lies in the ferrols contained in the product - alpha, beta, gamma and delta. Such a composition is not found in any biologically active additives, since they all contain only alpha antioxidants obtained by chemical methods,” she says.
She stresses that cocoa butter is a natural vegetable fat, meaning that its unique properties were created by nature itself. In addition to antioxidants, it contains oleic and palmitic fatty acids, which form unique triglycerides. These components give energy to humans.
“These triglycerides can be found in other fats and oils, but their percentage in cocoa butter is more than 80 percent. So when you drink a cocoa drink that contains 20-25 percent cocoa oil, your health improves,” she says. “Cocoa butter can be purchased in its pure form in grocery stores and specialty candy stores. It can be stored for a long time, does not melt at room temperature, and does not spoil.”
