Amnesty International: Insomniac, who has been in prison for 10 years, should be released unconditionally : China

The famous Uyghur intellectual was abducted from his home in Beijing in January 2014 and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Urumqi Intermediate Court on September 23rd of the same year because he exposed the situation of Uighurs under Chinese rule to the world and demanded their legal rights. In connection with the 10 years since the unjust trial and imprisonment of the Chinese government, the demand for the unconditional release of the Chinese government has increased.

Amnesty International released a statement on July 24 calling on the Chinese government to stop the injustices it has been perpetrating. The American daughter of Ishma Ishma, Jabhar Ishma, and Mr. Anwar Jan, the head of "Ishma's Support Group" in Germany, also gave an interview to our radio station.

Amnesty International's statement reads: "Inspiration is a prominent Uyghur intellectual. He repeatedly called for understanding and dialogue between the Uyghurs and the Chinese, but he was unjustly accused of separatism and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Amnesty International's statement also stated that the Chinese government's outrageous crimes and accusations are baseless, and that he is being subjected to unfair treatment and torture in prison. "His articles explaining the systematic discrimination faced by Uyghurs in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are based on the actual situation of Uyghurs. . However, the trial held on September 23, 2014 was not fair and transparent. His right to defend himself in court was publicly violated. After the trial, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. According to reports, the jailed Ms. Dao was handcuffed, held in solitary confinement for long periods of time, deprived of adequate medical care and food, and subjected to torture and ill-treatment, including psychological and political education. His peaceful and moderate attitude means that his imprisonment is unjust. Because this represents the most violent repression of human rights defenders. "The case of Ishma Das is a typical example of the Chinese government's widespread repression of Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other ethnic minorities, including crimes against humanity, such as mass kidnappings and forced assimilation."

At the end of the statement, it was emphasized that the struggle of Ilam Dasu was a righteous struggle, and the Chinese government was requested to release her unconditionally. His release is therefore considered a critical step in advancing human rights and justice in China. Yet his continued imprisonment is a reminder of the human rights crisis facing Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other Turkic Muslim groups living in China. We call on the Chinese authorities to ensure his immediate and unconditional release!”

On July 24th, the American daughter of Ishmael Ishmael, Jabhar Ishmael, also responded to our radio station by e-mail, stating that the Chinese government does not even allow her father to visit her, so she is becoming more worried about her father. She wrote: "My family in Beijing has been asking to see my father for years. But this request is constantly being rejected. I also heard that my father is being transferred to another prison. This spring, they contacted my family after I launched a campaign to nominate my father for the Nobel Peace Prize. They said, ``Tell Jabhar not to go around asking for family visits everywhere. We certainly allow visits. If the prison does not allow his family to visit the shrine, call us. However, my family did not get a chance to visit him. I hope they will allow him to visit this summer.''

Jawaharlal also said that when his father made a request for a video meeting and a phone call with him, the Chinese side made a condition for him. "At a recent EU-China human rights dialogue, Chinese officials told EU representatives that 'Jawhar must stop criticizing China if he wants to video chat or call his father.' Because it was my request to video chat with my dad and call him regularly. I've been asking for this since this spring. But they made this request conditional.''

In his reply letter to our radio station, Javhar also said that the international pressure on China is not enough. “Unfortunately, the pressure on China is not strong enough. I feel that today people are less and less interested in inspiration. Of course, with so many tragedies happening in the world right now, it's normal for people to focus on other issues and cases. However, we must not forget the situation of Dad. My father's condition was the earliest and most severe case. "I believe that supporting my father's release will bring hope to the oppressed and devastated Uyghur community."

At the end of his answer to our radio station, he said that he expressed his will. "My word to my father and the Chinese government remains the same: I will not stop fighting until my father and all innocent Uyghurs are free!"

Germany's "Inspirational Support Group" has been one of the most active organizations in the western democratic world since Ihalim's abduction, in demanding his freedom and recommending him for prestigious international human rights awards.

On July 24, Mr. Anwarjan, the head of the organization, gave an interview to our radio station and said that the situation of Uyghur intellectual, who has been in prison for 10 years, is causing concern in the world community that supports justice.

At the end of our interview, Mr. Anwarjan stressed that the Chinese government should inform the world about the situation of Ishma in prison and release her unconditionally.
