The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced today, Sunday, that it had bombed Israeli forces around the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood and its command headquarters in the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City.
Al-Qassam Brigades explained in a statement on Telegram that the brigades "bombarded the enemy (Israeli) forces that penetrated the vicinity of the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood and its command headquarters in the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City, with short-range missiles."
The Brigades did not clarify the results of the bombing, and there was no immediate comment from the Israeli occupation army on the Qassam Brigades' statement until 17:35 GMT.
Earlier on Sunday, Al-Qassam Brigades announced that it had clashed at point-blank range with Israeli soldiers who had infiltrated an aid truck east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, killing and wounding several of them. Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement: "Our fighters were able to spot a special Zionist (Israeli) force that had infiltrated disguised inside an aid truck."
She added: "When the force arrived at the Al-Mashrou' junction east of Rafah and entered one of the houses, our fighters engaged it directly at point-blank range with light weapons and individual shells." She confirmed that "all members of the Zionist force were killed or wounded."
This is not the first time that Israeli soldiers have hidden inside aid trucks. Local Palestinian sources said that the Israeli special force that freed four detainees from the central Gaza Strip last June infiltrated the Nuseirat camp using a truck similar to its counterparts used to transport humanitarian aid.
Clashes continue between Palestinian resistance fighters and occupation army forces in the city of Rafah, where a military operation was announced on May 6, ignoring international warnings about the repercussions of this on the city, which is crowded with displaced people.
