"A pile of destruction" The occupation withdraws from Tulkarm in the West Bank, leaving behind great damage

The Israeli occupation army withdrew today, Tuesday, from the city of Tulkarm and its camp in the northern occupied West Bank, after a military operation that lasted 12 hours.

Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation army forces withdrew from the city and the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, after a military operation that caused significant damage to the infrastructure. Military bulldozers destroyed main streets, water and sewage networks, uprooted electricity poles, and swept away the main street of Tulkarm city that passes near Nour Shams camp, turning it into a trench more than 3 meters deep.

On Tuesday morning, the occupation army stormed Tulkarm and the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps from several directions, and deployed its snipers on the roofs of a number of buildings, while firing tear gas canisters at the Palestinians. Explosions were heard inside the camp amid heavy gunfire, while reconnaissance planes flew in the city’s sky at a low altitude, according to eyewitnesses.

Video clips circulated on social media platforms showed the bulldozing operations and the great destruction left behind by the Israeli bulldozers. Activists also circulated a clip showing the detonation of a military bulldozer, while eyewitnesses said that the Israeli military operation was concentrated in the Nour Shams camp, as the bulldozers destroyed streets, shops, homes and vehicles, to the point that "the camp became a pile of destruction."

In contrast, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wings of Hamas, Fatah, and Islamic Jihad, said they were engaged in armed clashes with the Israeli army on several fronts in the city and its camp.

In conjunction with its war on Gaza, the occupation army and Israeli settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which led to the martyrdom of 572 since October 7, in addition to about 5,350 wounded.

While Israel's war with absolute American support on Gaza left more than 126 thousand Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10 thousand missing, amidst massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens of children.
