The Israeli occupation army announced in a statement today, Thursday, the killing of "Captain Roy Miller, 21 years old, a platoon commander in the Givati Brigade" and the wounding of two others with "serious wounds" in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip, which raises the number of its announced deaths since October 7 to 677.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority (official) reported that the incident took place in the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City, while the occupation army did not specify exactly where its members were targeted, but the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that they were targeted with an "anti-tank" missile in the Shujaiya neighborhood.
Yesterday evening, Wednesday, the occupation announced the killing of a captain, commander of a division in the 75th Battalion of the Sa'ar Magolan Brigade (7), and the injury of 3 soldiers in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
The number of Israeli soldiers killed since the war began on October 7 has reached 677, including 322 in ground battles in Gaza since the 27th of that month. The number of wounded soldiers has reached 4,049, including 2,057 in ground battles, according to data from the army, which faces local accusations of concealing a higher toll of its dead and wounded.
With full American support, the Israeli war on Gaza resulted in more than 125,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing amidst massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens of children.
Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice orders to end the invasion of the city of Rafah (south), take measures to prevent acts of "genocide", and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
For the 18th year, Israel has besieged the Gaza Strip, and its war has forced some two million of its 2.3 million Palestinians to flee in catastrophic conditions, with severe shortages of food, water and medicine. Israel is also defying a request by the International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, to issue arrest warrants for its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and its Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, for their responsibility for “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity” in Gaza.
