North Korea has resumed launching garbage balloons into South Korean territory, according to Yonhap News Agency, citing the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of South Korea.
From May 28 to June 1, North Korea launched about a thousand balloons filled with garbage.
On June 2, North Korean Deputy Defense Minister Kim Jang-il said that North Korea would temporarily stop sending the balloons, because the action was retaliatory.
On May 10, activists sent balloons carrying leaflets into North Korea.
The vice minister vowed to respond 100-fold if the "throwing of leaflets and waste paper" from the South Korean side continued.
Horrendous!
