Those in charge of the famous ICQ messaging service announced that the service will stop working permanently, as of June 26.
A message on the service's official website said: "The service has ended its work. Continue to communicate with friends through the VK WorkSpace service."
The ICQ service is considered one of the oldest messaging services in the world. It was launched in 1996 and revolutionized the world of instant messaging at that time. At the peak of its popularity in 2005, about 500 million people used it.
