Turkiye tests upgraded Bayraktar drones

Daily Sabah reported that the Turkish company Baykar recently conducted new tests on the upgraded TB-3 Bayraktar drones, which are designed to work with military landing ships.

The newspaper, quoting Baykar's press service, indicated that during the recent tests of the TB-3 Bayraktar drone, the aircraft was able to reach an altitude of 11,067 m.

The newspaper noted that the aforementioned aircraft was close in altitude characteristics to the Turkish Akıncı Donat, which was able to fly at an altitude of 13,751 m.

According to available information, the TB-3 Bayraktar aircraft was equipped with a PD-170 engine developed by the Turkish company Tusas Engine Industries, and has so far succeeded in flying for 445 hours during tests in general, and in December 2023 it flew on a flight that lasted 32 hours, covering a distance of 5,700 km during the flight.

This aircraft is 8.35 m long, has a wingspan of 14 m, has a maximum take-off weight of 1,450 kg, can carry payloads weighing up to 280 kg, fly at speeds ranging between 232 and 296 km/h, and remain in the air for up to 24 hours.
