The player's future is in danger a new development in Ramadan Sobhi's doping crisis

The former Al-Ahly club and Egyptian national team goalkeeper and current media personality, Ahmed Schubert, revealed the latest developments in the crisis of Pyramids club winger Ramadan Sobhi after he was suspended by the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization.

Schubert said in television statements on Tuesday: “Ramadan Sobhi underwent the first hearing, and what I learned from private sources is that there will be a second hearing with the player in the next few days.”

Schubert explained: “In the first session, Ramadan Sobhi’s defenses were heard before the hearing committee of the Egyptian Anti-Doping Agency. Dr. Hazem Khamis, head of the Egyptian Agency, was not part of the hearing committee, but the committee submits its report regarding the session with the player to him (to Hazem Khamis).”

He added: “Until the second session is held, Ramadan Sobhi’s suspension will be extended, and his position will remain suspended and not played until the committee completes its decision and a final decision is taken by the World Anti-Doping Organization (WADA), and based on its decision, Ramadan Sobhi’s final position will be determined.”

Egyptian reports revealed that the Pyramids Club decided to freeze negotiations with Ramadan Sobhi regarding renewing his contract after that crisis, pointing out that the club will not rush to renew the player until an official decision is issued to decide his future, after Hazem Khamis, head of the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization, confirmed that the duration of Sobhi’s suspension is at If a violation of anti-doping rules is proven, it may extend to four years.
