While the World Food Program described the civilian casualties as "devastating."

Anatolia Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that a number of citizens, including children, were killed or wounded when an Israeli warplane bombed a house in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

A statement issued by the Civil Defense in Gaza stated that its teams recovered a number of martyrs and wounded after the occupation aircraft targeted the home of the Hathat family in the Al-Sanafour area in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

In this context, the occupation artillery bombed the vicinity of the Basat Market in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and the artillery also renewed its bombardment of the vicinity of Sheikh Zayed City, north of the Gaza Strip. As for the south, the occupation aircraft and artillery continued to target residential neighborhoods in the center and west of Rafah.

Earlier Friday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that “the Israeli occupation committed 4 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, including 34 deaths and 71 injuries to hospitals during the past 24 hours,” adding that “a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and crews cannot Ambulance and civil defense reach them.

The ministry's statement stated, "The toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 37,266 martyrs and 85,102 injuries since the seventh of last October."

The occupation army said in a statement, “The forces of the 162nd Division continue their operations in the Rafah area, while the forces of the 99th Division continue their operations in the center of the Gaza Strip,” claiming that its division “during the past 24 hours eliminated a number of militants, discovered many pieces of weapons, and opened underground tunnels.” .

In the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army said that it "observed, on Thursday evening, several rocket launches towards the settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip. Iron Dome intercepted some of them, while the rest fell in open areas without causing any casualties."

He added: "In a quick operation, the launch sites that were used to carry out the attacks were attacked and destroyed with air and artillery bombardment. A weapons depot that was located in the area was also attacked."

The launching of rockets from northern Gaza comes for the first time since Saturday, as the occupation army announced at the time that it had detected the launching of two rockets from the Jabalia camp (north) towards the adjacent area, hours after the massacre it committed in the Nuseirat camp, which resulted in the martyrdom of about 300 Palestinians.

Meanwhile, 3 female citizens and a child were martyred when Israeli occupation aircraft bombed homes in Gaza City in the central Gaza Strip. Local sources said that 3 women and a child were martyred as a result of an occupation bombing of the Gaza Strip, while seven citizens were martyred yesterday evening, Thursday, in an Israeli occupation raid on Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the death of more than 37,232 citizens and the injury of 85,037 others, an infinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.

"A lost generation"

On the humanitarian level, the Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned yesterday, Thursday, that “without a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, we will have a lost generation.”

Lazzarini added, in a post on his account on the The UN official continued, saying: "Without a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, we will have a lost generation."

This comes at a time when mediators in Qatar and Egypt continue mediation efforts, with support from the United States of America, with Israel and Hamas in an attempt to reach an agreement to exchange prisoners and ceasefire in Gaza.

On May 6, the Israeli occupation army announced the start of a military operation in Rafah, ignoring international warnings about its repercussions on the lives of the displaced people in the city, while the next day it took control of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

Israel continues its war despite a decision by the UN Security Council to stop it immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, and to take measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the miserable humanitarian situation in Gaza.
