Dozens of Palestinians were martyred and injured today, Saturday, as a result of the Israeli occupation army’s bombing of several areas in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the return of its vehicles’ incursion into Rafah, south of the Strip.
Medical sources announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war on October 7 has risen to 37,834, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to 86,858 wounded, and thousands are still under the rubble and on the roads, as the occupation prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.
The sources indicated that the occupation forces committed 3 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 40 Palestinians and the injury of 224 others, during the past 24 hours.
Massacres throughout the Strip
The occupation army launched artillery and drone bombardment on gatherings of civilians, journalists, and displaced persons’ tents in the “Al-Shakoush” area, northwest of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 13 Palestinians and the injury of others.
Eyewitnesses said that the bombing coincided with the return of the occupation army's incursion into the "Al-Shakoush" area, hours after it withdrew from it on Saturday morning.
According to local sources, Israeli tanks and military bulldozers destroyed about 5,000 dunams (one dunam is equal to one thousand square meters) of greenhouses in the northwest Rafah area, which were considered the last lands planted with vegetables in the Strip.
During its incursion into the region yesterday, Friday, the occupation army bombed a number of displaced people’s tents and burned them, which led to martyrs and injuries among the displaced, and prompted thousands to flee to the city of Khan Yunis (south).
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that a number of Palestinians were martyred and others were injured in the bombing by occupation aircraft on a house in the Al-Manara neighborhood, north of Gaza City. Palestinians were also injured to varying degrees, after they were targeted by occupation aircraft in the Zarqa area, north of the city.
In Al-Bureij camp (center), occupation aircraft bombed a house, killing 4 Palestinians and wounding others, who were transferred to Al-Aqsa and Al-Awda hospitals.
Israel continues its war despite two UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and to take measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.
Highly distressing.
