Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren announced that the Netherlands will provide the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, in cooperation with another country that she did not mention.
Dutch media quoted the minister as saying, on Friday, that the Netherlands had managed to gather the components for a single system of this kind.
Ollongren did not reveal the dates of delivery of the system to Ukraine "because no information was provided to the Russians."
It is noteworthy that the Netherlands had provided Ukraine, since the start of the Russian military operation in February 2022, about 207 YPR armored vehicles, 60 T-72 tanks, about 100 Leopard 1 tanks in cooperation with Denmark and Germany, and 14 Leopard tanks. 2A4" in cooperation with Denmark, 8 PzH2000 artillery systems and two "Patriot" air defense systems, in addition to other weapons and ammunition.
The Netherlands also promised to supply Ukraine with 24 American-made F-16 fighter aircraft.
