The European Union included Ms. Aimani Kadyrov, the mother of the ruler of the Russian Republic of Chechnya and the head of the Akhmad Haji Kadyrov Charitable Fund, on the sanctions list “for her fund’s contribution to supplying the Russian army with supplies.”
A statement published in the Official Journal of the European Union stated, “Aimani Kadyrov was included on the sanctions list against the background of the program to re-educate Ukrainian children, assisting the families of Chechen fighters participating in the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and her contribution to supplying Russian military personnel with supplies and technical equipment.”
It should be noted that the ruler of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, had repeatedly ridiculed the West's sanctions against him, Russia, Russian officials, and those close to him.
He calls on Western officials to tighten the sanctions against him as much as they can, in great honor for him and for every Russian citizen included in the sanctions imposed by Russia’s enemies.
