Dr. Mikhail Ginzburg, a Russian nutrition expert, recommends including seasonal vegetables, including tomatoes, in daily dishes because they protect the heart, blood vessels, and skin and enhance men's health.
According to him, ripe tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. In addition, eating tomatoes regularly helps stabilize the level of testosterone production.
“In addition to the phytonutrient lycopene, tomatoes contain potassium and vitamins A, C and K. Carotenoids protect blood vessels from atherosclerosis, but it is better for those suffering from ulcers to exclude unprocessed tomatoes from the diet,” he says.
According to him, to improve the absorption of lycopene, tomatoes must be subjected to heat treatment, which significantly increases the bioavailability of the nutrient. Eating tomatoes also helps strengthen the heart and blood vessels. In addition, tomatoes have anti-cancer properties.
He says: “The results of scientific studies have shown that eating tomatoes or tomato juice regularly improves the quality and motility of sperm in men suffering from infertility.”
