Drinking bottled water exposed to high temperatures can lead to hidden health risks that many of us are not aware of.
Food safety expert Sarah Lawson warns: “Don't drink bottled water that has been left out in the sun or in a hot environment, such as a car. Heat can cause harmful chemicals from the plastic to leach into the water. It's important to stay hydrated, but drinking bottled water that has been exposed to heat "It's not safe. Always keep bottled water cold to protect your health."
Experts explained that when bottled water is heated, chemicals from plastic (such as BPA and phthalates) can reach the water, and may make you feel sick and cause health problems if you drink them.
If you drink warm bottled water, which contains harmful chemicals, you may experience the following:
- Stomach problems: You may feel nauseous or have stomach pain.
- Headache.
- Dizziness.
- Hormone problems: Some chemicals can cause hormonal imbalance, causing more serious health problems over time.
