Reuters: Boeing is investigating a new defect in the 787 Dreamliner planes
-
Reuters reported that the American aerospace company Boeing is investigating a new defect in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which is related to improper installation of the fuselage stabilizers.

The agency said in a statement: “Boeing is investigating a new quality issue with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, after discovering that hundreds of fasteners were incorrectly installed in the fuselages of some undelivered 787 Dreamliner aircraft.”

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that Boeing recommended that airlines inspect cockpit seats in 787 Dreamliner aircraft, after it became known that a LATAM Airlines plane accident, which resulted in about 50 people being injured, was caused by " "Accidentally pressing a switch on the pilot's seat."

Boeing has been under increasing pressure to improve quality control operations since January 5, following the incident that occurred at the beginning of this year, in which a nearly new Boeing 737-9 Max plane belonging to Alaska Airlines lost part of its structure during boarding.

Recently,  technical problems with Boeing aircraft have been repeatedly reported . For example, Polish President Andrzej Duda was forced to  use a spare aircraft after a defect was discovered in the 737 presidential aircraft  during his return from the USA.

In early May,  the US Aviation Administration launched a new investigation against Boeing  after the company's employees falsified inspection data on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
