Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Claudia Sheinbaum on her victory in the Mexican presidential elections.
The Kremlin published the telegram, which said: “Dear Ms. Sheinbaum, please accept my sincere congratulations on your victory in the presidential elections. Mexico is a friend and traditional partner of Russia in Latin America. We hope that your activities as president will contribute to the further development of constructive cooperation between our countries.”
The President also wished Sheinbaum success in her government activities, health and well-being.
The candidate of the ruling "Morena" party in Mexico, Sheinbaum, won the country's presidential elections today. According to the results of the vote, Sheinbaum obtained 59.04% of the votes , while her competitor from the opposition coalition "Power and Heart for Mexico", Xochitl Galvez, obtained 29.57%, and the turnout rate reached 29.57%. In the elections, 54.98%.
