The German national team stars are fighting mosquitoes at their training camp for the Euro 2024 tournament, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”.
The host nation's players live in a training center located in a wooded area near the Bavarian city of Herzogenaurach, and it features all the luxurious amenities required to keep the players comfortable, including an outdoor swimming pool and distinct relaxation areas.
The region witnessed an increase in insect numbers as a result of the floods and rains that coincided with the start of the European Championship.
Players are forced to spend most of their time indoors, as they are constantly attacked by mosquitoes outdoors.

Players also try to fight mosquitoes using sprays, and in addition, the windows in all basic buildings are equipped with nets to prevent insects from entering.
Julian Nagelsmann, technical director of the German German Football Association, confirmed in previous press statements: “We have an abnormal epidemic of mosquitoes. We have to make sure that there is some wind and that there are not many mosquitoes.”
The German national team leads the standings of Group A with 7 points collected from its victory over its Scottish counterpart (5-1), then it won over the Hungarian national team (2-0) before tying with the Swiss national team (1-1) at the end of the first group matches.
Team captain Ilkay Gundogan and his teammates will be able to watch the match between England and Slovenia in the final round of Group C, and the match between Denmark and Serbia on the giant screen in the team’s training center.
The four teams from this group can still finish this round in second place, and face the German team in the round of 16 next Saturday in Dortmund.
It seems hilarious.
