Massive demonstrations in Israel demanding "the release of prisoners" and early elections

About two thousand people demonstrated on Rothschild Street in the city of Caesarea, in a protest expected to advance towards the home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding "the release of prisoners" and early elections.

The demonstrators raised pictures of detainees in the Gaza Strip, called for the signing of an agreement as soon as possible, and chanted slogans: “Salvation of the prisoners - a victory for the state.”

Large police forces are deployed there, as well as near Netanyahu's residence.

The demonstrators in various Israeli regions also demanded that the government “return the mandate to the people” and “elections now.”

Thousands of people came to protest against the government at the Karkur intersection, chanting: "You are the head, you are guilty."

Meanwhile, hundreds of demonstrators at the Science Park intersection in Rehovot are calling on the government to "return the mandate to the people and go to elections now."

A protest march was also organized in Haifa, with hundreds of demonstrators moving from the lecture hall in the Carmel Center to the Horev Junction, and the march participants demanded the resignation of the government and the prime minister and the return of all hostages.

The demonstrators carried banners on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the kidnapped woman, Naama Levy, and chanted: “What if Naama was your daughter?”
