Israeli activists demand that the German government stop arms exports to Tel Aviv

Today, Friday, a group of Israeli activists protested in front of the Berlin Embassy in Tel Aviv to demand that the German government stop arms exports. They carried banners at the entrance to the embassy that read: “Stop arming Israel” and “Don’t you have enough blood on your hands?”

Media reports indicated that 5 people were arrested, while the police were trying to forcefully remove the protesters from the area, while the written statement submitted by the activists after the protest stated that Israel used German weapons in the massacres committed in the Gaza Strip.

The protesters, who also carried a banner reading: “Be on the right side of history for once,” also sent a letter to Germany’s ambassador, Steffen Seibert, demanding that the Berlin administration stop arms exports to Israel.

It is noteworthy that Germany ranked second among the countries from which Israel imported weapons last year, at a rate of 47%.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left nearly 120,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues this war, ignoring a Security Council resolution demanding that it stop it immediately, and orders from the Court of Justice to stop its attack on the city of Rafah, south of Gaza, and to take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and “improve the humanitarian situation” in the Strip.
