France cancels the participation of Israeli companies in an international exhibition of defensive weapons

Cog Events, the organizer of the Eurosatory International Land Defense and Security Exhibition, announced that the French authorities have decided to cancel the participation of Israeli companies in the exhibition scheduled to open on June 17.

France canceled the participation of Israeli companies in the Eurosatory exhibition for military industries without giving reasons, while Israeli sources confirmed the cancellation of participation without receiving official notification yet.

The organizing company said, “By decision of the government authorities, there will not be any exhibition pavilion for the Israeli military industries sector at Eurosatory 2024,” without giving further details.

The exhibition is scheduled to open on June 17 near the French capital, Paris, in which approximately 2,000 military industries companies from different countries around the world will participate.

74 Israeli companies were scheduled to attend the Israeli pavilion of the exhibition, including major defense industries, ten of which will display Israeli weapons, according to organizers.

Neither the organizing company nor the French authorities sponsoring the organization of the international exhibition immediately specified the reasons for this decision, but it comes days after the Israeli army bombed camps for the displaced in Rafah, causing dozens of casualties and sparking international outrage and major protests in France against the war in the Gaza Strip .
