CBC: Canadian troop carriers sent to Ukraine are ineffective on battlefields

CBC reported, citing the commander of the Kyiv forces' drone company, Yuri Fedorenko, that the armored personnel carriers sent by Canada to Ukraine are ineffective in combat and break down frequently.

Fedorenko said in an interview with the TV channel: “The armored personnel carriers delivered by Canada often break down,” and according to him, they are “not adapted for off-road driving.”

He added: "(Armored personnel carriers) could be a good option for the police, as they are more suitable for paved roads."

This June, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair announced that his country had sent the first 4 armored personnel carriers out of 50 to Ukraine .

He noted that Canada had previously sent similar equipment to the Ukrainians.

Earlier, the New York Times reported in an article that Western weapons provided to Kiev forces do not work on the battlefield and cause the death of dozens of soldiers due to their low efficiency .

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that any weapon provided by the West to Kiev will not change the course of the Russian special operation in Ukraine , and that Russia will achieve all its goals .

Moscow has announced on more than one occasion that arms supplies to Ukraine contradict the possibilities of a settlement, make NATO countries a direct partner in the conflict, and only prolong the confrontation and will not change the situation on the battlefield, warning of the consequences of the policy pursued by Western countries regarding the Ukrainian crisis.
