On June 19, Justice For Myanmar (JFM) called on the international government to take action against two Chinese companies and a group of Myanmar companies that are helping the military council control the Internet on the public.

The Chinese government-owned China National Electronics Import and Export Corporation (CEIEC); The Chinese company Geedge Networks and the Myanmar company Mascots Group of Companies are helping the military council.

The military council is said to have started Internet surveillance and censorship at the end of May using two products obtained from Chinese company Geedge Networks.

Two products, Taingou Secure Gateway (TSG) and Cyber ​​Narrator, obtained from the Chinese company Geedge Networks, block applications including VPN. Internet traffic verification; JFM stated that monitoring and response can be done.

In addition, JFM reports that the Chinese government-owned CEIEC is involved in a proposal to implement a location tracking system for the Ministry of Communications of the Military Council.

The Myanmar company Mascots Group of Companies is said to be acting as an intermediary between Chinese companies and the military council to do business.

Ma Yadana Maung, the spokesperson of JFM, said that the fact that Chinese companies and other Burmese companies are providing intelligence and internet technology to the military council has affected millions of people.
