"BRICS Games 2024" the eighth day's harvest

The Russian team won 46 medals on the eighth day of the 2024 BRICS Games, which are currently being held in the city of Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, and will continue until June 23.

Russia won 21 gold medals, 14 silver medals, in addition to 11 bronze medals, strengthening its lead in the overall standings with 358 medals (177 gold medals, 107 silver medals, 74 bronze medals), thus securing first place in the tournament, which will conclude next Sunday.

Belarus ranks second with 160 medals (34 gold, 56 silver, 70 bronze), and then China ranks third with only 46 medals (17 gold, 17 silver, 12 bronze).

While Egypt occupies 18th place in the overall standings with only 5 medals (one silver and 4 bronze medals), Kuwait also won a silver medal, Syria won two bronze medals, and the UAE won one bronze medal.

10 Armenia – 7 medals (1 gold, 6 bronze).
