Saudi Public Security has begun implementing punishment for violators of Hajj regulations and instructions for those caught without a Hajj permit, within a specific geographical area in the Kingdom, starting today, Sunday.
The geographic scope included “the Holy City of Mecca, the central region, the holy sites, the Al-Haramain train station in Al-Rusaifah, security control centers, sorting centers, and temporary security control centers.”
Public Security confirmed, “Implementing a fine of (10,000) riyals for violators of Hajj regulations and instructions without a permit against all citizens, residents, and visitors caught within the geographical area who do not have a Hajj permit, and deporting those residing among them to their country and preventing them from entering the Kingdom according to the periods specified by law.”
He stressed that "a double fine of 10,000 riyals will be imposed on violators in the event of a repeat violation," stressing the importance of adhering to Hajj regulations and instructions, "so that the guests of God may enjoy safety, security, comfort, and reassurance in performing their rituals."
It is noteworthy that the penalty for anyone who is caught transporting violators of Hajj regulations and instructions without a permit is imprisonment for a period of up to (6) months and a fine of up to (50,000) riyals, and a demand to confiscate the means of land transportation by judicial ruling, and the deportation of the violating carrier if he is an expatriate after the implementation of the penalty. He is prohibited from entering the Kingdom according to the periods specified by law, and the financial fine increases according to the number of violators transferred.
