"All Options on the Table" Iran Warns Israel of "Comprehensive Military Aggression" on Lebanon

Iran's mission to the United Nations warned Israel early Saturday that its launch of a "comprehensive military aggression" against Lebanon would lead to the outbreak of a war of extermination, noting that Tehran considers the propaganda broadcast by Tel Aviv about attacking Lebanon to be psychological warfare.

The Iranian mission said in a post on the X platform that if Israel attacks Lebanon "with a comprehensive military aggression, this will lead to a devastating war," stressing that in such a case, "all options, including the full participation of the axis of resistance, will be on the table."

In this context, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib called, yesterday, Friday, for replacing statements warning against travel to Lebanon issued by some countries with positions of solidarity, and for intensifying efforts and pressure on Israel to stop its military attacks.

In a statement, Bouhabib called for “positions of solidarity with Lebanon that express standing by its side in the face of this systematic campaign of psychological pressure,” and to strive diligently by intensifying efforts to stop Israel’s military attacks and ensure Lebanon’s security, stability, and territorial integrity.

In recent days, many Western and regional countries have called on their citizens to leave Lebanon or not travel to it, including Kuwait, Germany, North Macedonia, Canada and the Netherlands, due to the possibility of Israel launching a large-scale war on Lebanon.

According to the same statement, Bouhabib received a call from his Bahraini counterpart, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayyan, in which he expressed “the King’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, stability, and solidarity with it.” He also received a phone call from the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, in which they reviewed the successive Israeli threats to wage war on Lebanon.

In recent weeks, the intensity of escalation between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah has increased, raising fears of the outbreak of an all-out war, especially with the Israeli occupation army announcing a week ago that it had “approved” operational plans for a “massive attack” on Lebanon.

Since October 8, Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, most notably Hezbollah, have been exchanging daily shelling with the Israeli occupation army across the “Blue Line” separating the two sides, leaving hundreds dead and wounded, most of them on the Lebanese side.
