A climate scientist expects the coasts of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea to shrink

Climatologist Alexander Iushba, associate professor at the Southern Federal University, points out that rising water levels in the World Ocean will lead to a shrinkage of the coastal area of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

According to him, the shores of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea could collapse within the next 20-30 years, which will lead to a large area of them being submerged in water and thus shrinking the area of their coasts.

He says: "The rise in temperature has led to the melting of some areas of ice very quickly, which consequently led, over many years, to a rise in sea levels in the world. This rise in water levels will gradually destroy the shores of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea."

According to him, not all parts of the region are witnessing heavy rains. Even rainfall in some areas has become insufficient.

However, the Earth is affected not only by weather, but also by human activity. This includes plowing lands in the area of \u200b\u200bthe coast of the Sea of Azov in the Krasnodar Territory. This will lead to the collapse of the coast and the shrinkage of its area.

According to him, the collapse of the coasts of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea could cause a serious economic blow to the country. Therefore, he calls first of all to work on restoring the coastline and only then actively develop tourism in the Krasnodar Territory.
