The Czech police press service announced that three people were injured following a knife attack launched by a man at a gas station in the capital, Prague, noting that the perpetrator had been arrested.
The police said in a statement: “A 52-year-old man attacked six people with a knife on Wednesday at a refueling station on Argentinskaya Street in Prague 7 district. Two people sustained superficial injuries and were treated by doctors immediately, while another person was injured in the upper part of the car.” The body was taken to the hospital and his life is not in danger.”
The police explained that the attacker was arrested and is being investigated to clarify the reasons for his behavior.
In a related context, on the night of June 5-6, a 26-year-old man from South America tried to set fire to buses in the garage of the bus station in Prague 9.
The police immediately began searching for him, and strict security measures were imposed in the Republic, especially in the capital, Prague. On the night of June 9, with the help of the public, the police were able to arrest the man.
One day later, according to the court's decision, he was charged with terrorism and taken into custody. The man faces imprisonment for up to 20-25 years or life for his act.
