The Wall Street Journal reported, citing informed sources, that aides to Donald Trump, the most likely candidate to win the US presidency, are working on developing detailed plans for a massive and unprecedented deportation campaign.
The source told the newspaper that in this way they want to turn Trump's anti-immigration rhetoric into policy and prepare on the first day of his presidency to stop the flow of migrants across the southern border of the United States, to reduce the current immigration program and create the basis for the largest mass deportation in the history of the United States.
She noted that to achieve these goals, they want to speed up asylum hearings, as well as force countries around the world to accept their deported citizens as much as possible.
Former US President Donald Trump had previously expressed his regret that immigrants from “good” countries were not coming to the country. Pointing out that the “good” countries include Denmark, Switzerland and Norway.
