Before that, Zelensky described the situation of his forces in the Kharkov region, especially in Volchansk, as very difficult, and noted that an equally difficult situation for the Ukrainian army had developed on 5 other axes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that there are no current plans to liberate the city of Kharkov, and the operation of the Russian armed forces there is the fault of the Ukrainian authorities in response to the bombing of Russian areas.
Putin linked the Russian armed forces' operation towards Kharkov with the establishment of a buffer zone in response to the Ukrainian armed forces' bombing of areas within Russian territory, stressing that Russian forces are achieving daily success on this front.
